Don't start the app with camera mode, but an overview page
If you start the app, immediately the camera is activated. This is annoying. Would like the app to start with an overview page or scanned items.
I agree there should be a quick access button to go to your scanned files. At the moment in the current version you need to go to the Settings menu then My Files.
However, there is easily enough space either side of the round camera button to place a quick access button directly to My Files; e.g. there is a button to go to Media at the bottom left, but not to go to My Files.
An alternative to the OP's comment, is to have a menu option in the settings that allow you to specify if start-up behaviour is straight to the camera mode or straight to My Files.
The default to open to camera is ok, but there needs to be a link to get to the previously scan do screen. Right now there is no way to get to this screen to delete the old pictures without taking a new picture.
This will allow the deletion of previous scans that have already been sent to OneNote or whatever. Currently, there is no way to clean this "holding pen".

I agree with the disagreeing comment here. The point of the app is to get to "scanning" as quickly as possible, and then going from there. Adding more friction to the initial experience after launching the app would hurt its usability.
I don't agree with this at all. The intent of a scanner app is to scan, not to become a proxy file Explorer. You have other apps for that. My top reason for using office lens is that they have really focused on a simple UI
