Add setting to hide the most recent photos bar
I find the default to show most recent photos on a strip at the bottom of the screen to be SUPER ANNOYING as it occludes lots of the camera field. Please give me a setting to turn the recent photos strip off.
I want to buy a Surface Duo, but I won't install this app.
This is a fatal defect for use in the business scene.
More serious because I'm using Office 365 for business and private.
Currently I use Adobe Scan:OCR.
In addition, Adobe Scan is available without giving storage permission.
Instead it sends the data to Adobe's server by default, which is a innocent problem.

I agree with the original statement and the comments so far.
I've never used Office Lens to perform actions on existing photos, so I find it quite annoying that it is taking up valuable real estate for no benefit.
I've also found myself accidentally selecting a photo when trying to hide the picture bar as well :S
Given that there is already an avenue to access existing photos if required, I don't see what value is being added with this "feature".
As per the OPs statement though, if this feature is to remain, I would be satisfied if there was simply an option to turn it off.
This is indeed very annoying for two reasons:
1. The visable scan space in the phone is reduced. You have to swipe down the useless recent pictures bar.
2. The recent pictures bar shows everything including received WhatsApp images etc. Total pointless in my opinion.
You now have to do more actions to make a scan because the bar pops up every time. When scanning multiple pages it is really frustrating.
